Each season, I host small, thoughtful gatherings designed to help us reconnect with the rhythm of the natural world.

From wreath-making and wildcraft workshops to slow living retreats and seasonal readings, these gatherings offer gentle spaces to pause, create and celebrate the turning points of the Celtic year.

Autumn Wreath Making

The Tower, Edinburgh

A celebration of Mabon, the Autumn Equinox. A moment to honour balance, abundance and change.

Held at The Tower on Portobello Beach, this two-hour workshop brought the pages of Slow Seasons to life. We began with a short reading before gathering foliage from Ochre Botanical Studios to create our own Autumn wreaths, filled with berries, seedheads and fallen leaves.

With the waves and Arthur’s Seat as a backdrop, guests slowed into the rhythm of the season and left with a handmade wreath and a sense of calm.

Beltane Seasonal Sanctuary

Tyninghame Village Hall, East Lothian

A half-day retreat to celebrate Beltane, the height of Spring. When light, growth and creativity abound.

Alongside Aimée from Wild Tide Yoga, we explored the themes of Beltane through yoga, reflection and creativity. After sharing seasonal insights from the Beltane chapter of Slow Seasons, I guided guests to create their own floral posies with locally grown blooms from Ochre Botanical Studios.

A day of movement, beauty and balance.

Spring Table & Flower Arranging

TOAST, Edinburgh

Inspired by Imbolc and Ostara, this Spring workshop celebrated renewal and the gentle return of light.

A joyful celebration of Yule: the turning of the year, when we gather warmth and light.

Hosted in partnership with The Portobello Bookshop, this workshop marked the festive season and the launch of Slow Seasons. Guests learned how to make reusable wreaths with foliage from Ochre Botanical Studios: evergreens, berries and seedheads sourced from local gardens.

A slow, creative evening in the spirit of Winter Solstice.

Q&A & Foraged Flower Crowns

Kilduff Farm, East Lothian

Marking Mabon, the Autumn Equinox: a time of harvest and gratitude.

At Kilduff Farm we celebrated the launch of Slow Seasons with a Q&A and a hands-on foraged flower crown activity. Guests enjoyed mulled apple juice, autumnal treats and the chance to take home a pumpkin and signed copy of the book.

A cosy, heart-warming evening honouring the abundance of Autumn.

Book Signing & Autumn Wreath-Making

Guardswell Farm, Perthshire

Another celebration of Mabon: an evening steeped in Autumn colour and craft.
