My name is Rosie and I’m an author and photographer based in Edinburgh. I’m inspired by Scotland’s shifting seasons and the old stories that linger in its landscape.

With a camera in hand and a notebook open, I wander the turning year, tracing the ancient rhythms of folklore, the quiet pulse of nature and the small, still moments that keep us grounded.

Through my writing, photography and seasonal gatherings, I invite you to slow your pace, look for the light and find meaning in the gentle passage of time.

Which season are you in?

The Celtic Wheel turns differently depending on where you stand in the world. In the Northern Hemisphere, the year may be moving towards stillness and reflection, while in the South, life might be opening outward again. Living in tune with these ancient cycles invites a slower, more grounded way of being: one that connects us to the land, honours change and reminds us that every ending quietly becomes a beginning.

Slow Seasons:
A Creative Guide to Reconnecting with Nature the Celtic Way

My first book, published by Bloomsbury, invites you to reconnect with the natural world through the Celtic Wheel of the Year. It explores ancient traditions, nature notes and seasonal rituals to ground and inspire.

Seasonal Gatherings

Seasonal Gatherings

Throughout the year, I host Gentle, creative workshops and events that celebrate the turning of the Wheel.

Each gathering offers something a little different: a variety of activities and locations to suit all members of my community. These are slow, grounding spaces to create, reflect and reconnect with the seasons.

This space is a small sample of my writing: shared freely as part of my work exploring slow, seasonal living through the Celtic year.

Most of my essays, recipes and reflections live on Sow, Grow, Harvest, Rest, my Substack community for those who want to slow down, simplify and reconnect with nature.

Reader support is essential and deeply appreciated; it allows me to keep creating and sharing this kind of content.
